The Cabinet has allocated an additional 224 million hryvnia for gardens and vineyards

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to allocate additional UAH 224.3 million for the support of the development of hop production, the establishment of new orchards, vineyards and berry fields, and the supervision of them in the amount provided for supporting the agrarian sector in the state budget for 2017.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

Corresponding changes were made to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from 01.03.2017 № 124 "On the allocation of funds provided for in the state budget in 2017 to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food for financial support of agricultural producers."

Prior to the decision, expenditures under the budget program 2801350 "State support for the development of hop-growing, laying of young orchards, vineyards and berry-crops and supervision of them" amounted to 75 million hryvnia. Now the implementation of this program as a whole allocated 299.3 million hryvnia, which is 4 times more than before the adoption of changes.

Allotment of such allocations will allow to fully pay accounts payable under this program, which amounts to UAH 231.8 million, and the remainder - to direct to the state stimulation of the creation of new plantations and the development of the industrial infrastructure.

According to the operational information of structural subdivisions of agro-industrial development of regional state administrations, business entities of various forms of ownership, it is planned to lay the perennial crops in 2017 on an area of ​​5,282.9 ha.
Including:
- pome - 1578 hectares;
- stone fruit - 481.8 hectares;
- walnut - 1264.1 ha;
- berry bushes - 1264.5 ha;
- strawberries 148 hectares;
- Vineyards 436.4 hectares.
